Celebrating Radiance with House of J.C. Le Roux

Nothing feels as good as celebrating oneself, celebrating the power you have and the radiance in you.

Last year, during the festive season, J.C. Le Roux played an exceptional role in enabling several people to celebrate their radiance. This mega sparkling wine and MCC producer added some vibrancy to the season by launching a limited edition design for its La Chanson, La Domaine, and Le Fleurette sparkling wines. The Radiance Collection was inspired by the inner radiance of flowers and each of the bottles of the edition are wrapped with a foil that was beautifully designed with flowers. La Domaine was adorned with the Plumeria, while La Fleurette was represented with Tulips and La Chanson with Poppies.  If you had the opportunity to pop one of these special bottles, there’s no doubt you had your radiance rushing through your body and it just glowed all over your face as you made every sip from the bottle.

What really stood out about this campaign was that it not only brought out the inner radiance of a young designer and entrepreneur, Nompumelelo (Pumi) Mahlangu but showcased her thriving bespoke shoe business Funky Florals. Growing up in Soweto, Pumi had an obsession with footwear and frequently joined her mother in thrift shops, all the while saving up to buy herself shoes. To celebrate this special edition of sparkling wines, J.C. Le Roux teamed up with Pumi to offer custom-made sneakers featuring one of the exquisite designs on the sparkling wines bottles. To get this pair of sneakers, all you had to do was participate in the campaign, which I of course did and received a pair of bespoke Funky Florals and a bottle of La Chanson sparkling wine. The campaign is however over but you can still celebrate your radiance by simply purchasing your own bottle, for R74.99 only,  from a variety of liquor stores nationwide. Please note that the Radiance Collection is very limited, you might not always find at retail outlets.

The best thing about the Funky Floral sneakers is that they are so comfy, and you can wear them with anything.  J.C Le Roux recommended wearing them with a dress, a plain T-shirt, blazer and jeans or just add some edge to your office suit. I decided to do jeans and blazer and my wonderful friend Nicole, an incredible photographer, offered to do a photo shoot with me and we celebrated our inner radiance together.  Check her out on her Instagram page: Nicole Smith

I hope you find and celebrate the radiance in you. Thanks for reading this article, Love Edna!
